Tom MacManus, who seven years ago was tapped to lead ARA Finance, a then newly formed lending venture, has been named president of strategic accounts at middle-market lender A10 Capital.
MacManus' post is newly formed and puts him in charge of deepening and developing relationships with real estate companies, including brokerage firms and intermediaries, that would be instrumental in helping A10 continue growing.
As president and chief operating officer of ARA Finance, which was formed in 2009 by CWCapital and Apartment Realty Advisors, MacManus developed a multifamily lending platform, which necessitated the development of relationships with brokers and other intermediaries.
MacManus previously was executive vice president and head of Cushman & Wakefield's debt and equity finance operation and before that was president of what then was GMAC Commercial Mortgage, which at the time was generating some $22 billion in originations.
