Dallas Business Journal

Kohl's Department Stores Inc. is looking in the Dallas area to develop a 1 million-square-foot eCommerce facility. The Wisconsin retailer says it's keeping its options open, but has expressed interest in DeSoto, Texas. Dallas County officials are trying to entice the retailer by offering a 10-year, 75 percent tax abatement for using the area for its planned facility.

If DeSoto is the location that it chooses, the project would go up at the Crossroads Trade Center, which is owned by Dallas developer Hillwood. Immediate construction could result in the project being ready as early as next July.
