Tracy Suttles, president of multifamily firm NBC Holdings, will team up with The Randall Davis Co. to redevelop the derelict 11-story Kirby Building at 917 Main St. in downtown Houston into about 70 rental units. Suttles purchased the building, built in 1926, in 2002. Retailers will occupy the street level of the building as well as the basement and part of the second floor. In addition, Suttles started selling units in a proposed 32-story high-rise slated for Main Street between Texas and Capitol. Suttles purchased a portion of the site last summer from McDonald's. The project is being called Shamrock Tower.
