Munie Mae Raises $131 Mln for REIT, Investments

Municipal Mortgage & Equity raised $131 million from investors. It will use the capital to start a multifamily REIT, raise a tax-credit fund and finance tax-free bond investments.

BALTIMORE – Municipal Mortgage & Equity LLC (NYSE:MMA) has received an equity infusion of $131 million from institutional investors.

The investments were made in three transactions.
