Oak Street Capital Raising Latest Net Leased Fund

The Chicago investment manager has raised $380.1 million of a targeted $1.25 billion for its latest fund, which like its predecessors will pursue office, industrial and retail properties that are net leased to their tenants.

Oak Street Capital has raised $380.1 million for its fourth net-lease real estate investment fund.

The Chicago investment manager, which was founded in 2009, has some $1.3 billion of assets under management. While it focuses on the net-lease sector, it also manages a fund-of-funds business, which includes a separate account it manages for Employees' Retirement System of Texas.

The latest net-lease fund, Oak Street Real Estate Capital Fund IV, has an equity target of $1.25 billion. Among those investing in it are the Teachers Retirement System of the State of Illinois, which has committed $100 million, and the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, with a $75 million commitment.
